Shortly after completing their previous home, the Shapiro’s traded up to a new home in the same development with a majestic panoramic view of the Agoura Hills and West San Fernando Valley. Instead of an inward focused design as in their previous home, we designed an open, modern, outdoor living environment that capitalizes on the views and compliments their now decidedly Spanish style house architecture.

The contemporary pool features a corner infinity edge positioned at the edge of the rear yard, a generous “Baja shelf”, and an elevated circular spa that spills into the pool. The built-in seating area and firepit are opposite the infinity edge and slightly elevated so that the primary views are out over the pool to the twinkling lights of the distant city; even the outdoor cook center is to the side so nothing blocks the views.

The landscape is Mediterranean in keeping with the style of the house and includes large olive trees, Mediterranean Fan Palms, and grey-toned lavenders, succulents, Kangaroo Paw, and Australian rosemary.
