Lucena on Court is a 46 unit affordable apartment community for individuals and families earning less than 60% of the median area income. Located in historic Filipinotown (HiFi) neighborhood in the City of Los Angeles. The complex includes a tot lot, learning center, offices for service providers, and a community center is run by Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA).

The site was complex as the surrounding topography spanned three levels with the garage entrance on the lowest level facing N. Westlake Avenue, the building entrance on the “ground floor” off Court Street and the second floor facing Bonnie Brae Street. The courtyard, partially on the garage podium deck, features interlocking pavers, raised planters, and a play area for ages 2 – 15.
