In collaboration with Gonzalez Goodale Architects, we developed the exterior activity and gathering spaces utilizing bright colored play surfaces, play equipment, amphitheater seating, giant pots, and plantings.

Their mission statement is: In an environment of love, care and hope, Villa Esperanza Services provides the tools and support necessary for children, adults and seniors with special needs to achieve their goals, live fulfilling lives and embrace a sense of belonging and acceptance.

We worked closely with the administrative staff to customize the play environment to the needs of developmentally challenged children emphasizing safe spaces. The favorite place for the students and staff to gather is on the artificial turf under one of the large pots as shown in the photo with the musician.
